TOBACCO Theater is easily accessible by public transport, car, bicycle and on foot. Rokin metro and tram station are even a 1-minute walk away, Central Station is just a 15-minute walk and parking garages are plentiful within a very short distance.
On foot
You walk from Stationsplein across the Damrak to Dam Square, behind which you will find the National Monument
the Nes. At the beginning of the Nes there is a souvenir shop on the right with a large yellow one outside during the day
wooden shoe. Here you walk up the Nes to our theater on the left at number 75.
Bicycle
TOBACCO is also easily accessible by bicycle. You can leave your trusty two-wheeler behind with confidence at the nearby bicycle sheds.
• Rokin bicycle shed: This shed has room for 260 bicycles. With the access system you can check in and out with your bicycle using your OV chip card or bank card. Parking is free for the first 24 hours, just like in the other municipal parking facilities. Each additional day costs 1.25 euros. The garage is not accessible for cargo bikes and scooters.
• Nes bicycle shed: This free bicycle shed is located at the beginning of the Nes and offers space for more than 100 bicycles.
Public transport
Would you rather take the tram or metro? Then of course that is also possible!
Tram
With tram 4 and 14 from Amsterdam Central Station you get off at the stop, it’s a one-minute walk to TOBACCO.
Metro
The North/South line departs from Amsterdam Central Station, where you take the metro towards ‘Zuid’. The same line also departs from the RAI and Station
South. Then take the metro towards ‘Noord’. You get off again at the ‘Rokin’ stop. For other options, we would like to refer you to the site: 9292.nl
Car
You can reach TOBACCO Theater within 20 minutes from the A10 ring road. It is possible to get in and out in front of the theater. Through our website
you can reserve a parking ticket for the Q-Park Waterlooplein parking garage. This parking deal is exclusive to TOBACCO visitors. With your reservation you are assured of a parking space. From the garage it is a 13-minute walk to TOBACCO.
• P1 Waterlooplein Parking Garage – You can park cheaply and easily at this parking garage within a 13-minute walk of our theater. You can make a reservation via our website.
• De Bijenkorf parking garage (Q-Park) – Monday to Friday, depending on the number of hours you park. This parking garage is affordable and easy
parking in the center of Amsterdam. From the parking garage you can reach our theater within 5 minutes. Would you rather park in another parking garage? There are several large parking garages in the immediate vicinity of our theater, please note: TOBACCO does not provide parking tickets for the following parking garages:
• Rokin parking garage – 1 minute walk
• Oosterdok parking garage – 10 minutes walk
• Stadhuis Muziektheater parking garage – 7 minutes walk
• Nieuwezijds Kolk parking garage – 7 minutes walk
• Parking garage P1 Central Station – 15 minutes walk
In addition, there are several P+R locations around the center:
• P+R Noord – Connection to TOBACCO with Metro 52, get off at the Rokin stop
• P+R Rai – Connection to TOBACCO with Metro 52, get off at the Rokin stop
• P+R Zeebrug – Connection to TOBACCO with Tram 26, get off at Central Station and then walk 10 minutes

• Weekdays before 10 a.m
€8.00 for the first 24 hours, then €1.00 per 24 hours
• Weekdays after 10 a.m. €1.00 per 24 hours
• Weekend €1.00 per 24 hours
Zinc posts
The Nes can be reached by car between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. After 11:00 am the retractable posts are raised, making the Nes unreachable without it
key. If you have to unload items in front of TOBACCO’s door, the organization can lower the retractable posts in consultation. TOBACCO
has a key to the retractable posts at Wijde Lombardsteeg.
Disabled
Disabled people can visit the theater via their own entrance. You can reach all areas with the exception of the balcony via the elevator. There is also a disabled toilet on the ground floor. Please indicate in advance and send an email to: info@tobacco.nl
